Unfortunately people don’t often pay enough attention to their posture.
Whether it is during work or play, awkward postures overload the muscles and tendons placing excessive force on the joints. Over time the excessive pressure can damage muscles, ligaments, joints and bones. However it is possible to correct the posture and stop that damage. Postural correction is usually touched upon during other treatment regimes, but if the client wishes, the postural correction can become the main focus of the treatment as it can have huge benefits long term. Postural habits are not easy fixes, they require work from the client and the therapist. By regular use of massage, exercises, stretches etc. that bad back can disappear forever!
